ARTIST MANAGEMENT

In conjunction with West Fraser Studio, Helena Fox Fine Art manages the career of renowned southern painter West Fraser. Helena Fox Fine Art represents the work of West Fraser in Charleston.  We manage the cataloging of Fraser’s work, his exhibition schedule, publications and facilitate representation in other galleries across the country.

ART CONSULTING

At Helena Fox Fine Art we offer individual attention and advice on all matters relating to acquiring and managing an important art collection. We can also assist with additions to existing collections. We work with interior designers, architects, individuals, institutions,  and corporations to create a collection that acts as a personal reflection of our private clients and as a reflection of our corporate clients’ business values and aspirations. We work on projects of all sizes, whether it be a one time purchase or a long term collecting strategy. No client is too small or project too big.

The process

The first stage of the process is getting to know our client and understanding the space. A visit to the home or office, or a viewing of plans helps us to understand the scale of the project, requirements for the space and the personal style and taste of the client. For those who are new to art a guided museum visit can be a helpful introduction to art history, style, color and aesthetic.

Once we understand our client’s needs and expectations we do the research to compile a portfolio of artworks and artists that we think will fit into existing collections or develop new ones. We source works of art regionally, nationally and internationally. We arrange site visits to suggest potential placements and can arrange site-specific commissions when required. Once completed this portfolio is presented to the client for viewing. With our guidance the collector will decide which art will be a part of their collection. We have a thorough understanding of art and the art market and can advise clients not only on what work is of the highest quality, but what is a secure financial investment. We coordinate the purchase of works, complete transactions and arrange art collection and shipping.

Art Placement

Our service is all encompassing. We arrange art installation and placement so that our clients don’t have to worry about staging their new assets.

After the collection has been installed the client will receive the documentation for their collection. If it is a collection that has been curated and collected according to a theme, the collection will come with curatorial notes. For instance, if we have created a collection of work that defines American Art of the South, we will ensure that you have all of the documentation that explains the art historical context of your collection and how each work fits into this theme.
